This range was the brainchild of one of our most eminent designers and principal, Jason Bannister who was inspired to put pen to paper after a visit to the Far East. The design influences are there for all to see. The current desire for a contemporary look that includes smooth straight edges and bold, sleek curved shapes fits resolutely within the principles of oriental furniture design.

Contemporary Japanese interiors are associated with uncluttered, open spaces offering a clean, open portal between objects. This tranquil area allows us space to breathe and grow. Without question - all fine furniture is crafted from quality raw material. The Tokyo Oak Range is made from premium grade oak, which has been specially selected and harvested from European forests, then slowly kiln-dried to eliminate drying deficiencies. This A-grade material is then worked by skilled craftsmen, employing traditional, time-honoured skills into the exceptional pieces we offer here.

The life and good looks of quality oak furniture is greatly enhanced by a treatment of natural Danish oil 3/4 times a year. Applied sparingly along the grain of the timber - it nourishes, enhances and preserves the oak to an optimum degree.
