The Oakdale Range is one of our best sellers. It has that certain aura and bearing of quality that all good solid oak furniture exudes. Essentially this furniture has been inspired by the modern Minimalist school of design that has been greatly influenced by the Cubist movement in the early 20th Century, but it still retains its universal appeal and freshness. Each piece has been created along simple lines, that allow the sheer beauty of the wood to shine through, accentuating a natural elegance that will sit well in any surrounding - from the ultra modern to the more traditional. Our oak timbers are not dyed or stained – what you see is only ever its wonderful natural honey colour.

The furniture is painstakingly handcrafted by skilled woodworkers using only selected solid 100% European timbers that have undergone a lengthy process of slow kiln drying, to aid even moister emission, thus minimising cracking and warping. The result is the best possible raw material for fine furniture making. Even the drawers, runners, backs and handles are made from A-grade oak. These pieces are built to last a lifetime…and beyond.

Oak is living wood - and the life and looks of superior oak furniture, like this, is greatly improved by a simple treatment of natural Danish oil 3/4 times a year. Just a simple, single application sparingly along the direction of the grain, nourishes the wood and maintains its condition.
